Communities of predatory mites (Phytoseiidae and Stigmaeidae) in different environments of the Brazilian Pampa

The Brazilian Pampa presents a high diversity of fauna and flora within mosaic environments. aim this study was to evaluate the assemblages predatory mites (Phytoseiidae Stigmaeidae) in three different environments: Grassland shrub vegetation, Grazing Exclusions fenced for six years Riparian Forest with tree vegetation. Phytoseiidae Stigmaeidae were evaluated total 324 plant sampled from nine sites Twenty-two species found. presented highest abundance (243) greatest diversity. Mites more abundant (64) than (25) environments, but similar. In Forest, most Amblyseius tamatavensis Blommers, herbicolus (Chant) Agistemus floridanus González-Rodríguez. Arrenoseius gaucho Ferla, Silva Moraes Zetzellia malvinae Matioli, Ueckermann Oliveira environment. Our results demonstrate that has mite communities seem be affected by type environment, showing importance ecosystem as reservoir natural enemies.
